Finding historical information.?

I've been really into learning the history of abandoned places located in Kentucky, but am having trouble finding information on a certain covenant church. How would I go about finding information on this church. It's little and hidden, so I'm uming not enough is known for it to be found on the internet. Where would you suggest going locally to find records?
