Alcohol and jaw pain?

Most every time I drink alcohol (beer, liquor, wine etc.) I experience a sharp needle-like pain in the area where my jaw connects to my skull. This pain occurs on both sides. I have done numerous searches but have had no luck with finding a decent explanation. The pain begins after only a drink or two and dissipates as I drink more (I know, ethanol dulls the pain). Any help would be greatly appreciated.
